A very special 8 day Dent fusee bracket clock.
Small walnut veneered cabinet of very good colour and patination, bevelled glass to the sides, 5 windows in total, all revealing lovely quality mechanism.
8 day fusee mechanism, with pendulum hold fast and all round superb quality workmanship.
Dent clocks are always of superb quality but the name is perhaps most well known for being the maker of the great clock of the Houses of Parliament known as Big Ben, this was installed in 1859. Dent was also clockmaker to Queen Victoria and the Prince of Wales.
