A superb condition Rosewood veneered twin fusee 8-day bracket clock signed tot he dial by John Cross, Charterhouse Square – London.
The fine quality twin fusee movement striking the hours on a single bell and with repeat function. Lovely border engraving to the backplate and to the pendulum. A pendulum holdfast screw to the backplate.
The fine white painted convex dial with Roman numerals and signed to the centre by John Cross Charterhouse Square London. The dial also with a strike silent to the 12 o clock position on the dial.
The stunning rosewood veneered cabinet of exceptional colour and patination and of superb figured veneers. Brass pineapple final to the top and brass ball feet to the bottom. The sides with brass inlay and fretwork and carrying handles.
