John Edward Lawson apprentice CC1790, Clockmakers Company C1798 and livery Clockmakers Company 1812-24. A cylinder movement by him in the Guildhall Museum.
A superb white convex dial bracket clock with strike silent feature to the 12 o’clock position behind the front door. Roman numerals and delicately shaped clock hands.
The cabinet of good small size and finely veneered in choice mahogany veneers and with brass side frets and other adornments to the case. Handle to the single raised pad to the top.
The fine quality twin fusee bell strike movement with engraved backplate surround and pendulum bob. Pendulum holdfast (but not pictured) and repeat function to the side. Rear glazed window.
